Safeguarding at Catholic Institute of Sydney

Catholic Institute of Sydney (CIS) complies with the Safeguarding Policies of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney (CAS) and the Student Polices, Procedures and Guidelines of the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) which are aimed at ensuring Student Wellbeing and Support.


Catholic Institute of Sydney acknowledges its responsibility to protect the safety, well-being, and dignity of children and vulnerable adults. CIS, moreover, seeks to respond swiftly and compassionately in circumstances where children or vulnerable adults are harmed or at risk of being harmed.

 

Reporting to CIS: Grievances may be initiated by contacting Rev. Prof. Gerard Kelly, on gkelly@cis.catholic.edu.au or +61-2-9752-9510 or Sr Assoc. Prof. Michele Connolly rsj on mconnolly@cis.catholic.edu.au or +61-2-9752-9512. In consultation with the complainant, Rev. Prof. Kelly or Sr Assoc. Prof. Connolly will direct any grievance to a suitable grievance-handler. All matters are treated with confidentiality and sensitivity.


Reporting to UNDA: Grievances may be initiated by contacting the Student Grievance Officer via the university’s website (link below).
